First Taste: Shounen Oujo by Yukihiro Utako

*First tastes are reviews on manga I have read that have less than 20 chapters scanalated and is still ongoing

Shounen Oujo by Yukihiro Utako

My category: Gender-bending 19th Century Royalty Adventure (okay that's really long but basically only 3 things)

Ongoing. Currently 15 chapters scanalated by Hachimitsu Scans.
(Apparently the series is on hiatus as the author is still working on Uta no Prince-Sama)

Synopsis: In a country where women rule supreme lives a poor but happy boy named Albert. An excursion to the city turns dangerous when he and his friend are abducted by slave traders, and later purchased by a noblewoman's servant. If this wasn't crazy enough, it turns out Albert looks exactly like the noblewoman who purchased him. But she's no ordinary aristocrat. She's a princess! And he's to act as her double from today on!?

Horimiya by HERO & Daisuke Hagiwara

Horimiya by HERO (Story) & Daisuke Hagiwara (Art)

My category: School Comedy Romance

Ongoing. 2 volumes, 17 chapters scanlated.

Summary: Kyouko Hori is a smart, pretty and friendly girl who due to her workaholic parents, has been taking care of her younger brother and housework since she was small. Hori cooks, cleans, buys groceries and pretty much raises her brother on her own. She hides this housewife-like side of her from her school friends. Izumi Miyamura on the other hand, seems like a bookworm and an otaku in school, but in truth has many piercings and tattoos and is friendly outside of school. Due to Hori's brother Souta, they discover the different side to each other and slowly got to know each other.

Overall, 8/10.

Moved

I've moved my meager 3 reviews from another blog so that I can dedicate this blog solely to manga reviews. Enjoy!

RG Veda by CLAMP

SO. I have had a secret wish of writing reviews for mangas I've read but never got around to do it (because I didn't have time, because I wanted to do it properly and that would take even more time) but I decided, to hell with it. I'll just write; life's too short to not do what you want.

My first ever review is on RG Veda by CLAMP.

My category: Classic CLAMP Epic

Completed: 10 volumes, 16 chapters.

Synopsis (mangahere): 300 years ago, a powerful warlord rebelled against the Heavenly Emperor. After killing the Emperor, the warlord crowned himself as the new Emperor, starting a cruel reign. But there is a prophecy: Six Stars will one day assemble and overthrow his tyrannical rule ... Now, the ruler of the Yasha Clan has found Ashura, the last of the Ashura Clan, and together they set out to find the Six Stars and fulfill the prophecy.

All in all, 8.5/10.
